April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her musical journey at the age of 7 when she started piano and guitar classes. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single Different. When she was 14 April was a big devotee of her time to writing and practicing songs. Soon after she began taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April also included additional topics in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal thinking. Lockhart collaborates with popular cosmetics brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle influencer with her own growing following. She was born without her left hand. It's an aspect of her identity, but this isn't the whole truth. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her disability. But it also doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. What message is it sending? It's this That we all carry numerous identities. We're much way more diverse than we think we are. Lockhart in a video messages from his Nashville home, says that I do not want this to define my character. I'm much far more than just my physical self. It doesn't impact my day-to-day life I do everything normally and I've found the best way for me to adapt things. The same is true for my personality, and it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart encourages us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. Yet, she confesses having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. It's a journey is the key thing I don't know that you ever arrive she says about self-love. The same is true for everybody regardless of level of insecurity. I believe having friends around you who really know you and see the depths of your soul is vital as they'll be the ones who remind you What are you concerned about?
