She was born in Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michelle is her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson's parents include Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She is of Mexican-American heritage and is an American in nationality. From the time she was little she's been extremely interested in participating in sport. Gerina began to play golf when she was fifteen. Gerina attended Goddard High School. She was the winner of her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament in her high school years. As a volleyball player, she was also a participant in state tournaments. She was enrolled at the University of Texas, Texas in the academic year. In her final year, she took home every single tournament she participated in. In her college career, she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
