Dick Cheney is a former chief of the staff of the President. He also served as a member of Congress as Director of the Department. It is clear that he's uncompromising, with the respect of all Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney has stated that he regards his work in that of Bush administration as being a straightforward however, a discreet advisor. Cheney took the Republican Vice-Presidential nominating in 2007 said the he is looking forward to having a President who can reach beyond the political divide to engage with opposition with good faith and a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. The family moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he reached the age of 13. His dad, who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture headed the soil conservation district in Casper.
